Wildflowers GALORE..

We took a break from life yesterday evening and headed up to the canyon..

15 minutes out of town and some fresh air sure make a difference...

The surreal beauty was the icing on the cake!

OH.. And Did I Mention...

In the midst of the mind numbing chaos of moving 2 homes (one of which is out of state) into one, I secured a location for my new business and got the keys last week...

Sleep?  I don't need no stinkin' sleep...

Okay, I'm a day late.. but it FEELS like Monday, right??

It's that time of year again.. one of my favorites... LILAC SEASON!  

(YAY!)

Better yet, my baby girl took time to stop and appreciate their beauty and fragrance..

And she may have picked a few along the way..

OHMYLANTA.. We're BEAT...

We did the 5 hour drive to our old home in CO on Thursday night, did some power packing Friday and this is what our Saturday morning looked like...

.. For the next 9 Hours..

We hustled home Sunday and this was our Monday...

The movers are gone and I'm doing a bit of this..

But it won't last long since it's not hooked up..

DRAT!

Limbo No Mo' ...

Well, we're getting closer to "normal".. whatever THAT is..

So we were looking at closing on our new house here in a few weeks.  That would've run us into the opening of my new business (*fingers crossed* that launch date is still up in the air) but we were bound and determined to make it work.  Suddenly, like manna from Heaven, we got word last Friday:  We might be able close THAT afternoon (2 weeks EARLY).  No lie, my friends.. you read it right (when does that ever happen?!).  At 3pm that very afternoon we were sitting in an office at the title company, signing and BOOM.. we've got keys.

SQUEEEE!

Our amazing friends swooped in and over the weekend we had a ton of the big stuff moved from G's house to our new home.  My furniture will arrive from CO in a few weeks.  Holy mother of all spins.. but dang it, it's a good one and there are no complaints...

After helping us out in such a huge way our friends THEN treated us to BBQ here on Sunday, our official first night.  How blessed are we?  Naturally, s'mores followed ...

... the boys christened the hot tub that evening... 

And what's left is a whole lotta this.

I couldn't be happier.

Limbo Laughs

In the craziness that comes with being between homes, living out of a suitcase, trying to start a business and find a new sense of normal, I'm thrilled to report there is still a constant:  The kids' goofy sense of humor.  Some people find Mary burned in a tortilla or see shapes of horses in the clouds above..  my son finds things like hearts in a bag of chips.  Of course, once discovered, he professes his undying love for me..

Just before he takes a big bite out of it and laughs like a maniac.

Yeah, they were meant to be mine.
